When Kendra emailed me about advertising on my blog, I was immediately drawn to her passion for life. I love connecting with people who have experienced the ups and downs of life but turn it into something incredible. I encourage you to read more about Kendra and her “Pinwheel Girls” here and then go to her site www.pinwheelgirls.com to learn more. Her book is inspiring and so is Kendra.
I created Pinwheel Girls for every woman who has ever had to pretend to be less than she truly is. - Kendra Kett
Kendra Kett lives outside Chicago with her young son where they both
spend time drawing, writing, singing, dancing and creating. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Education and is an award-winning school administrator for young children.
She has seen with symbolic sight and spoken in poetic metaphor since early childhood when her love for the mystical truly began. At the age of four, she recalls harnessing the strength of empowerment when she was hospitalized for, and survived, a life-threatening illness that had killed an entire prior generation of women in her family.
She considers herself a survivor of not just serious illness but also the numbing routinization of life, the dull ache of abandoned dreams, the sorrowful errors of youth, the blind following of rules and scripts, and the regrets that come with not knowing.
She created the Pinwheel Girls for every woman who knows how it feels to pretend to be less than you are.
The mission of the Pinwheel Girls is to heal and empower women.
The Pinwheel Girls communicate messages from certain moments in time during seven stages of metamorphosis. Through fluid poses, the Pinwheel Girls tell the story of going inside, unfolding, surfacing, expanding, ascending, coming back down, and sharing visions as they chronicle profound personal change with poetic “Messages from the Wind.”
